‘Lifeflows’ is a group of professionals who are trained in Process Oriented Psychology developed by Dr Arnold Mindell. Our research, consultation, therapeutic and group work uses awareness-based methods of remaining open to the flow of life and learning from nature as it manifests from moment to moment.

Our focus is inner and outer relationship, and enabling a sense of being at home with ourselves. Our work spans the whole of life, and includes:
- infants, children, parents & families,
- teenagers and young people
- relationship problems experienced by couples, colleagues, friends – etc.
- experiences of people nearing the end of their lives (ageing, relationships, friendships and intimacy, dealing with body changes and illness, living fully and dying with full awareness)
- Community facilitation, group dreaming and conflict work
- working with those who provide services, formal and informal, paid and voluntary
Our dream in Lifeflows is to:
- encourage awareness
- follow what moves us & brings us alive
- continually discover new patterns in nature for health and well-being found at the edge of the known.
- developing exchange and learning from the different relationship styles and expressions within the communities of the world
We believe that nature will show the wisdom necessary to resolve even the most complex or entrenched problems when we are not only interested in understanding our experiences but also in entering life’s flow. We feel the world needs more people who are interested in joining nature’s inherent creativity to help resolve the problems we face.
Together with helping to resolve problems in the community, we also research and provide training in four basic areas:
- Process Oriented child & family work
- Process Oriented relationship work
- Process Oriented training in problems associated with ageing, living fully and dying
- Process Oriented Group and Family dreamwork and facilitation.
Each training area includes addressing conflict resolution, rank and other power dynamics, whether within couples, families or the work place.
Choosing to research, consult and/or study with us, you may wish to organise your learning to suit your particular basic area of interest as named above, while at the same time including areas such as symptoms & body work, signals & communication, working with altered and extreme states, relationship worlds, near-death and coma states, dreamwork, worldwork (deep democracy, cultural dynamics and collective conflict around difference and diversity) and more.
Diversity Welcome Statement
- In Lifeflows all voices are not only welcome but also needed.
- If you identify with a particular nationality, culture, race or ethnicity, your voice is needed.
- Whether you express yourself through same sex or heterosexual relationships, whether you have changed or are considering changing gender, or you cross dress, your voice is needed.
- If you have mental health issues, a physical disability or you are in good health, your voice is needed.
- In other words we believe that communities become whole when all experiences and perspectives are supported and expressed – and this also includes socio-economic differences, and varying advantages in education and training, employment, etc.
Lifeflows’ ethos accepts that although relationship is an integral part of life, we’re not only misty-eyed about it! As well as the ups and downs and bumps and falls which are part and parcel of relationship life, lack of relationship, loneliness, inability to maintain relationship, loss of relationship, whether through bereavement, divorce, Alzheimer’s, etc, can be challenging and difficult processes.
Well done everyone! Evelyn just told me about Lifeflows and here you are. It looks fantastic. If you have a mailing list put me on it…
Lots of love
Moira
Hey Moira, so great to hear from you on here. Thanks for joining up, and looking forward to see what can emerge here.. xx Mark
Hi
This sounds really fresh. I like the simplicity of the language, refreshingly jargon-free. (difficult to avoid, especially when you’ve been in an environment so long you no longer notice it).
It’s sounds fun and made me laugh out loud (the zany wisdom heading – which I am about to check out!)
Hi Anne,
Thanks for your lovely feedback – hope you enjoyed Conor’s zany wisdom.
